ACSA provides multiple participation pathways to accommodate independent operators, municipal leagues, and championship-only participants. Each tier is designed to preserve competitive integrity while respecting existing league structures.

Sanctioning Fees

ACSA Sanctioning Overview

  • Fully Sanctioned League

    Designed for private operators, independent leagues and private facilities seeking full integration within the ACSA governance framework.

    League Sanctioning Fee
    $125 per team, per season
    Applies to organized adult leagues operating on a defined seasonal or annual schedule.

    Includes:
    • League authorization under ACSA standards
    • Insurance alignment for approved regular-season games, playoffs, and championship
    • Eligibility verification framework
    • Conduct governance and enforcement authority
    • Access to disciplinary and appeals procedures
    • Championship qualification eligibility

    Sanctioning applies only to the approved league schedule submitted as part of the sanctioning application.
     
    -All rostered players must obtain an active ACSA Athlete Membership ($30 per sport, annual)
    Team captains or coaches must maintain active ACSA leadership membership ($55 annually)

  • Designed for city Parks & Recreation departments and municipal leagues that operate under existing municipal insurance coverage. Municipal Affiliate status is intended as an introductory participation tier and may transition to Full Sanctioning in subsequent seasons.

    This pathway allows cities to participate in the ACSA championship ecosystem without duplicating insurance coverage.
     

    Annual Municipal Affiliate Fee Tiers:

    1–10 Teams

    $600 annual affiliate fee

    11–20 Teams

    $1,200 annual affiliate fee

    21+ Teams

    $1,800 annual affiliate fee

    Includes:

    • Recognition as an ACSA Municipal Affiliate
    • Eligibility pathway to ACSA State Championship
    • Standardized championship eligibility criteria
    • Access to ACSA discipline and appeals framework for postseason play
    • Optional use of ACSA Municipal Affiliate designation in marketing
     

    Does Not Include:

    • Regular-season insurance alignment under ACSA policy
    • Certificates of insurance issued under ACSA
    • Ongoing eligibility audits during regular season
    • Full-season governance oversight
     

    Championship Participation Requirements

    Teams advancing from a Municipal Affiliate League to the ACSA State Championship must meet the following:

    • All rostered players must obtain an active ACSA Athlete Membership ($30 per sport, annual) prior to championship competition
    • Team captains or coaches must maintain active ACSA leadership membership ($55 annually)
    • Championship team entry fees apply

    Municipal Affiliate regular-season participants are not required to maintain ACSA membership unless advancing to ACSA-governed championship competition.

  • Designed for leagues that do not wish to maintain annual affiliation but want access to the State Championship.

    One-Time License Fee

    $750 per league, per sport
    Covers up to two qualifying teams

    Additional teams: $200 per team

    Player memberships are still required for championship participation.

  • Applies to standalone tournaments, showcases, and competitive events outside approved league seasons.

    Event Sanctioning Fees:

    • $175 per team — ACSA-member teams
    • $350 per team — non-ACSA teams

    Includes:
    • Event authorization under ACSA standards
    • Insurance alignment for sanctioned event dates
    • Eligibility and conduct governance
    • Disciplinary and appeals access
    • Certificate of insurance issuance for approved venues

    Sanctioning applies only to approved dates, format, and facilities listed in the event application.

  • Regional and national championship events may be subject to additional fees based on:

    • Event scale
    • Duration
    • Facility requirements
    • Insurance scope

    Championship hosting is awarded through a formal bid process.

    • All fees are assessed annually or per event, as applicable

    • Membership must be active at the time of participation

    • Sanctioning fees must be paid prior to league or event approval

    • Fees are generally non-refundable once coverage or authorization is issued

    Specific refund terms are outlined in sanctioning agreements.

  • ACSA reserves the right to adjust fees periodically to reflect:

    • insurance market conditions

    • administrative costs

    • expansion of governance services

    Any fee changes will be communicated in advance.

    • Fees do not guarantee facility access

    • Fees do not guarantee participation levels

    • Fees do not guarantee competitive outcomes

    • Fees do not constitute employment or agency relationships
       

    All participation remains subject to compliance with ACSA standards.
